How much will I pay?
Nothing while the Free plan is enough. After that, €29 excl. VAT a month, plus €0.10 per CU-h of active compute and €0.40 per GB-month of storage. The simulator above works out your case.
Why no annual plan?
Because we want the service to keep you, not a contract. Free and Startup are monthly with no commitment: cancel in one click, no fee, and take your data with pg_dump. Only the Souverain plan, which reserves dedicated infrastructure, is contracted yearly.
Why not Neon or Supabase?
Lampion runs on Neon’s open-source engine. The difference: databases hosted and operated by French companies, out of reach of the US CLOUD Act, billed in euros, with the security questionnaire and DPA built in.
Can my AI agents create databases on their own?
Yes: pip install lampion-mcp, and your agents get 51 tools. An API key acts with its owner’s role, and branches can expire on their own.
What does the security questionnaire contain?
The answers to a buyer’s questions about your database, across 11 domains, each with an accurate status. In the console, through the API and over MCP, on every plan.
Where is our data?
At Scaleway, region fr-par-1, in Vitry-sur-Seine: compute, storage, WAL and backups. Only telemetry, with no customer data, is at Grafana Cloud, in the EU.
Is Lampion HDS certified?
Our host Scaleway is, for the physical infrastructure. Lampion’s own certifications are planned for Q1 2027.
